Dave Streiffer Company was one of the pioneers in the duty free and bonded warehouse industries. In the late 19th century, the Streiffer family was living in the New Orleans area and began to question the buying status of foreign nationals coming into the local ports.

Streiffer reasoned his customers should be able to purchase certain merchandise without federal, state and local taxes. He brought this idea to his local US Congressman and shortly thereafter, legislation was passed establishing duty free purchasing rights for certain individuals in the US Gulf region.

Since 1896, our company has serviced the the Gulf of Mexico and East Coast of the United States. Dave Streiffer Company provides duty free wholesale and retail merchandise, foreign trade zone/customs bonded warehousing, spares for ships and slop chest supplies.
